This is what our caterpillars and their chrysalis looked like. It is a Painted Lady Caterpillar.
It will turn into a Painted Lady butterfly.
In April we received our caterpillars in the mail. 4 tiny little caterpillars.
They munched and munched and munched.
Until they grew into adult caterpillars in just a few days.
This is a picture of the empty cocoons and you can see 2 of the new butterflies.
Before they were butterflies. They were these huge caterpillars!
Watching the caterpillars....
Peek-a-boo!
